Lieutenant Smith from HMS Tyne, acting Governor of the Falklands reports a catalogue of robbery, plunder and murder to Captain FitzRoy during his absence. Charles Darwin travels in land with the gauchos to look at wild horses and remarks on their varied colours of cattle. Body of Lieutenant Clive from HMS Challenger was buried following his accidental drowning.
