Sara came to us on Wed. very welcome in our small party. She seems to me well & brisk for her —

Yesterday was detestable & today nearly as bad, with black East wind; & any

thing so unbecoming for Mr Goodwin's drawing can hardly be imagined. We expect the Litches today & Leonard (have you made any way in your wedding present? I have not yet) Leonora is gone to Ireland for 3 weeks, so we shall have one more visit only before the fatal day.

I enjoy getting rid of the glum gardener & Lettington enjoys shewing me where he has been neglectful. We have been forwarding lb. weight of letters to Fr. I expect that few of them will be of any interest.

My letter today is chiefly to shew my good will as I have enough to tell you — I have written your

views to William about the present to Dr Clark. I send you Leo to fill up. I shall like to hear how you are getting on w. Sir W. Thomson's work —
