Dear Mr. Tyndall,
I hope you will have received the tickets for the Abbey for Mrs. Tyndall & yourself which William & I ordered to be posted to you some time yesterday.
The enormous amount of business which we have had to get through during the last three days must
be the excuse for our not having written to you before.
I am sure you will sympathise with my mother & her children in the irreparable & unexpected loss which we have suffered
Yours very sincerely
G H Darwin
I should mention that the tickets are those reserved for personal friends of my father, but the Abbey authorities have kept a large number for themselves so that there will be many others
[Funeral ticket]
