Aggregation
Pinguicula (common sp.) Sept 12th placed leaves in C. of Am. 4 to 1000 & in moderately strong infusion of meat & examined after about 26 hr immersion— In neither any aggregation of chlorophyll grains, but in part fine brownish granular matter, (especially round stomata) & this granular matter seem slightly to aggregate into small masses. — A very young & moderately old leaf were examined after the C. of Ammonia & a moderately young leaf after the infusion of meat one leaf was alone examined after 3 hr immersion (a) in the Ammonia
Oxalis acetosella: young leaves immersed in C. of amm 4 to 1000 from 4˚ 40' P.m on 16th to 8˚ 35' a.m on 17th & then soaked in alcohol. for 1˚ 30' no aggregation, & Chlor. grain along walls in countless numbers.—
Oct 14th Fresh leaf immersed in sol 2 to 1000 at 2˚ 15' on 12th & examined 8˚ 30' on 14th — also other leaf immersed for same time in sol 7 to 1000 — In both spec. spheres at base of glands but no agg. of Ch. grain in disc of leaf.
