My Dear Mr Darwin

I take great pleasure in sending you the letters you ask for. I find among my father's papers but three letters from your father. […]

I shall always cherish as the most interesting of my scientific pilgrimages many visits to your father I shall never forget his cordial reception of me his interest in all my plans and his continuous correspondence at times when he must have been much [illeg] with letters.

Will you present my respectful respect to Mrs Darwin and remember me kindly to your brothers and believe me my sincerely yrs
