* The gentlemen whose names are marked with an asterisk form the Executive Committee.

The Jamaica Committee having been advised that the facts disclosed in the report of the Royal Commissioners afford a proper ground for an indictment for murder to be preferred against Mr. Eyre and the other persons concerned in the trial and execution of Mr. Gordon, and that no other mode of vindicating the law in reference to those facts is open to them, they have instructed their solicitors to proceed forthwith with an indictment against Mr. Eyre. As witnesses have to be brought from Jamaica some delay is unaveilable.

Subscriptions should be forwarded to the Treasurer, Mr. P. A. Taylor, M.P., Aubrey-house, Notting-hill: or to Mr. F. W. Chesson, the Hon. Secretary, 65, Fleet-street, London. A complete list of subscriptions will shortly be published.

In order to correct a false statement which has been advertised in some of the public journals, it is necessary to explain that the Committee have no connexion, either directly or indirectly, with any of the civil actions which have been commenced against Mr. Eyre and Colonel Nelson.
