Description: Drawing of the encampment at Woollya Cove, on the NW coast of Navarin Island (approx. 40km south of Ushuaia), by FitzRoy. A modified version of this was engraved by T. Landseer and published in Narrative 2, facing p. 208. The camp was set up by the crew of the Beagle as part of FitzRoy’s plan to create a permanent settlement among the Yahgan indigenous people at Jemmy Button’s home.
