Darwin, Charles, 2000, 2001. The autobiography of Charles Darwin [in Dutch]: De autobiografie van Charles Darwin 1809-1882. De oorspronkelijke versie, vertaald door Fieke Lakmaker. Amsterdam: Uitgeverij Nieuwezijds, pp. 1-158.
Dutch translation by Fieke Lakmaker from the original version based on the edition by Norah Barlow, as published by W.W.Norton, London. First edition hardback in 2000, second edition paperback 2001. It is a transcription and translation from the manuscript MS.DAR.26 and the Memory at the death of Anne Elizabeth MS.DAR.210.13:40.
There is a translation of Darwin's note on "That is the question" about his marriage (pp. 143-146). There is a new introduction to the Dutch translation (unsigned, but probably by the translator). The frontispiece is a photograph of Darwin made in 1881 by Herbert Rose Barraud, of which the original is in the Huntington Library, San Marino, California, also published in Scientific American, November 1995
