LANCASHIRE and CHESHIRE OPERATIVES
RELIEF FUND.

The Lord Mayor, by the advice of the London Relief Committee, this day forwarded cheques to the following places:—

Ashton-under-Lyne, 8th remittance £100, making a total of £1,100

Barnoldswick 3d remittance 75 making a total of 200

Belmont 3d remittance 75 making a total of 150

Blackburn 9th remittance 1,000 making a total of 3,800

Bollington 5th remittance 150 making a total of 400

Chorley 6th remittance 200 making a total of 450

Failsworth 4th remittance 100 making a total of 350

St. Catherine and St. Oswald dist. 21 remittance 250 making a total of 350

Tintwistle 8th remittance 200 making a total of 925

Wigan 10th remittance 750 making a total of 2,700

Haslingden, &c. 1st remittance making a total of 100

Norden 1st remittance making a total of 50

Andenshaw 1st remittance for sewing class making a total of 25

St. James's, Rochdalelst remittance for the sewing class 25

Which several grants, including those previously forwarded, amount to the sum of £33,275

The London Relief Committee wish it to be distinctly understood that all sums apportioned by them to the distressed districts have been and will continue to be distributed without reference to exceed or party by organized Local Committees only.

The Committee, who meet every Friday morning to consider applications for grants, request that the Local Relief Committees will forward such applications to the Mansion-house not later than Thursday in each week, with the latest statistics of the distress in their respective districts.
