The late Mr Darwin. Foreign Obituary Notices

[From to-day's Standard.]

Berlin, Friday night. ─ almost all the German papers publish obituary notices of Darwin, and agree in regarding him as one of the greatest men of the nineteenth century.

New York, Friday night.─ All the journals devote much space to notices of Darwin. The Herald says his life was that of Socrates, excepts its close.

[From to-day's Daily News.]

Paris, Friday night.─ Almost all the Paris papers have articles on the late Mr Darwin. The Presse says one of the greatest intellects of the century has disappeared.

Vienna, Friday night.─ All the Vienna papers devote long articles to Mr Darwin. The Neue Freie Presse says, what Humboldt was to the first half of the century, Darwin was to the latter half.
