CHARLES DARWIN.— We regret to learn, as we are going to press, of the death of Mr. Charles Robert Darwin, who has long worked, among other subjects, in the cause of botany and horticulture. A biographical account of Mr. Darwin, accompanied by a portrait, appeared in Vol. VIII, of THE GARDEN. He was in his 74th year, having been born on February 12, 1809.
