Now to one who does not wish to perceive the evidences of a Creator, but looks upon the world as transforming and developing itself according to eternal, supreme, and immutable physical laws, miracles may present difficulties; but to one who believes in a personal, ever-present, ever-acting, and all-powerful God, in whom we live, and move, and have our being, all is easy. He simply asks, "What hath God wrought?'' and in all good faith he receives the answer of holy men of God, who declares "that which they have seen with their eyes, which they have looked upon, and their hands have handled."
