THE MOVEMENTS AND HABITS OF CLIMBING PLANTS. By Charles Darwin. New York: D. Appleton & Co. Rochester: Steele & Avery.

Mr. Darwin's observations of the habits of climbing plants were first recorded in a paper published in the "Journal of the Linnean Society," in 1865. That paper, with various important amendments and additions, is now given to the American readers in book form, and will be eagerly welcomed by all students of natural history. The work is copiously illustrated, and the details are given with the accuracy and point which is characteristic of the author.
