This large and finely illustrated volume is a new edition of a book which has charmed many readers on both sides of the Atlantic, and will probably never be out of print while there is a lover of scientific exploration and adventurous voyaging in the world. Each generation will require a new edition, with the print, illustrations, binding, etc., in keeping with the advance continually made in those directions. A book so well known, from an author whose name long ago become a household word only needs announcement to ensure purchasers. The book is a treasure.
