My Dear Mr Darwin
I take great pleasure in sending you the letters you ask for. I find among my father's papers but three letters from your father. the others address to me and I think nearly all of comparative late date I shall no doubt [illeg] have the least objection to you publishing any thing you think or think may be of interest to others & then of course I need not say that I value these most highlyl & trust they will not only reach you safely but also find there way back [illeg].
I shall always cherish as the most interesting of my scientific pilgrimages many visits to your father I shall never forget his cordial reception of me his interest in all my plans and his continuous correspondence at times when he must have been much [illeg] with letters.
Will you present my respectful respect to
1v
Mrs Darwin and remember me kindly to your brothers and believe me
Very sincerely yrs
A Agassiz.
Francis Darwin Esq.
