Dear Sir,
It is at Mr Horsefall's request I send you the enclosed. If you cannot see your way to use them I shall be obliged if you will return them as soon as convenient. The printed matter is from the "Manchester City News" of the 25th of June and will furnish you with the reason why I took the liberty of troubling your father.
I greatly value his kind letter now enclosed as an illustration of his great kindness even to strangers who requested his aid or opinion.
I am dear Sir,
yours very truly
Thomas Brittain
