saw [2 words illeg] visiting the flowers

Delpino [illeg] Florence,

I saw Hive-bees visiting the flower.

One other observation ─ dark flowers

May 2d 1860 ─ I saw Hive-bees sucking single sweet white & blue violet in garden & 1/2 wild plants.

There was scattered pollen on stigma & scales of anthers ─ With respect to Hive-Bees not visiting Heartease.─
