November 1. 1875 Vandellia nummularifolia
I find that 15 capsules of cleistogam flowers grow under favourable circumstances contained an average of 64.2 seed per capsule.— These 20 capsules from plants grown crowded contained an average of only 48. seed.— maximum in any case 87.—
The perfect flower crossed yielded an average of 93 seeds with max of 137 — Perfect fl self-fert had average of only 62 seed with a maximum of 135.
