Act. Acad. St. Petersburgh 1777, II Part p. 45. Mr. Gillibert says the Menyanthus trifoliata or Buck-bean one of Gentianeæ nat. fam., the stamens cast pollen, when flower quite closed so that humidity is "dans cetta plants aquatique" should not injure fruitification — Elizabeth says grows in Maer bog & most strictly aquatic.— This plant thus flowering in Russia may throw light on Diaba (?) Subularia which flowers under water in Scotch Locks.—

I see in Hooker's Flora he says I have seen perfect flower of Subularia under water.— as if exception.—
