Some described in the German Pamphet. All impregnations here (zz) tried succeeded. between D. plumaries-barbatus deltoides. arnesi, superbus, hortensis, ferrug. chinensis, carthusianor, pungens, glaucus. —
11 species & 16 experiments. — Only 3 inverse cases tried, one quite similar, other "haud multum abludentes", & 3d "satis similes." — Ten crosses it is mentioned produced "intermediate" offspring (LL) excluding the inverse crosses. Thirteen crosses produced plures or plurimae hybrid plants — Three produced — few. — seeds & plants —

In Hooker's Brit. Flora. D. glaucus Linn. is considered as variety of D. deltoides — grows in Kings' Park Edinburgh — Even London Catalogue considers them vars.
Even Babington makes a var.
