Jan 25 1869.— It might be well worth to get a list of 46 sp. from Hooker common to T. del Fuego. N. America & Europe —

Also list of sp. identical or very closely allied in Antarctic & N. Zealand common to Europe, & see if they belong to dominant & large genera; for they have held their place when mingled with sub-tropical productions. —

So again good to make list of Naturalised production in N. America from A. Gray & in Australia & New Zealand — & on any islds— to test the same point.—
