London Catalogue
I am inclined to think the best to publish wd be the First Category & Babington varieties.
Old & Useless
Here we have 136 genera having genera 296 doubtful species or strongly marked varieties; (I could easily see how many of these there were by adding up the figures in bracket under the 3 categories). & these genera have on average 5.22 species. As there are here 21 genera with single species, the standard of comparison is 2.63; (but excluding from the standard the genera with single species, the standard is then 4:44). If all these doubtful species be considered as real species, the standard will be raised but then as all these quasi-species belong to the 136 genera the figure will be far above 5.22. See bottom of page (3 bis) which shows results. —
