June 15th Plant put into Hothouse a good-sized leaf well caught vertical stick in 7°. In greenhouse movements extremely slow, & footstalk not acted on during several days by 15 inches of red string — It is remarkable that full-sized leaves will act— Footstalk, when it has caught thickens in remarkable manner. —
