T. azureum are highly remarkable [3 words illeg], they arise as before length & branching.

hooked tips

sensitive to rub. — straight line — to loop of thread— When stick placed curled round it in 1° —. But they repelled they loosened it again. — twined various objects. sometimes caught a stick. we shall soon see what they wanted. If They have no true spontaneous movement of their own, but are curved fast short time by internode: this takes place a remarkable fast they put to darkest place.—

These depend vertically down & [illeg] many down & generally catch one stem & supporting-stick.— When they have caught any object they contract spirally: if they do not catch they do not enter & soon wither away
