Aug 1. 1864— Loasa aurantiaca— I raised 17 Plants; of these 8 moved against sun & ascended from left to right; 5 with sun & ascended reversely; & 4 others took turns in 2 ways, generally only one or two in some one way & others all the others in reversed course—

The best example took 7 spiral turns with sun. (ie from right to left) 5 spiral turns in opposite course.—
