Clematis
I put thin culm of grass in 3 days a slight of effect in 4 days decided effect.
As yet the peduncle of leaf seems only capable of moving baseward.— The movement is always towards the existing object.—
Aug 21st I find cotton thread wound round dry leaves had become pulled by growth, & degree of pressure caused strong bending of peduncle of one leaflet.—
The peduncles have slight power of [illeg] themselves.
