March. 1. 64.— Ceropegia grandiflora— Adhatoda Cydona Sphærostema marmorata,—

A forked stick fixed to shoot so as to travel & left many hours shewed no dull irritability. I have often tried by mere rubbing. I selected 2 latter plants because such slow movers & might require other aid. If a person swings a thong of leather round his head & it strikes an upright stick the end curls round it. This is the case excepting that cal. force replaces

the momentum of each particle of the thong.
