Count all - but not vars marked a — not subvarieties

I do not include case where species said to vary but none specified & marked by Greek Letters.

In table at beginning I sum up how many of the 16 Provinces see Vol I sub-equal, (extending even in Russian America & Crimea) each species in each genus amount to, & then add up all; & see by dividing this number by the number of species in the two cohorts, I shall see average extension of each species in the two: I have marked them with (?)
