Synopsis Floræ Germanicæ et Helveticæ, [exhibens stirpes phanerogamas rite cognitas,] quæ in Germania, Helvetia Borussia et Istria sponte crescunt atque in hominum usus copiosius coluntur. Dr. Koch Edit. Sec: 1843.

I have made no omissions - I have counted all the vars. those marked a as well as B &c &c.

I might say that I thought it better to try in this way for once. An immense Flora (with 3458 sp.) The only correction made are some typographical errors of number of species. I have (in few cases) excluded sub-vars of varieties. I might calculate in Dicotyledons - the proportions in genera of 6 5, & 4 in contrast with those with 3, 2, & 1 - Also compare Monocots & Dicots - Also try number of varieties to species in genera having only species. --I suspect that these when they do vary, vary largely - will explain greater number of vars compared with species in small genera see whether many cases I think not of all the species even in smaller genera havng varieties
