Expression
When I walk, Bobby expects me to stop at Hot-house, & invariably hangs his head with drooping ears most melancholy a "hang-dog" expressive way, just the reverse of raised head & pointed ears, when he sees I am not going to wait there
Association of idea — he was joyfully to have collar put on — was never sullen
