I took Chimpanzee into bright light & decidedly contracted eyebrows, but very feebly compared with man; hence does not cry — several genera have very distinct eyebrow, & much power of many up & down in looking — especially with cape Baboon, whose eyes are
well protected from light by projecting ridge of eyebrows.
