Fear is equally antagonistic to anger as joy — why does not dog wag tail when afraid — — He evidently withdraws which hinder quarters as well as tail — fear does not lead to action of any kind—

As I never saw or heard of Dog catching others by tail (& foxes are not thus caught??) I begin to think tucking tail in between legs only an opposition or antagonistic sign —
I first thought it directly acquired.—
