Original weight by Randall 770 grs.
After removal of all matters soluble in dilute hydrochloric acid
weight by O. S. Scales 260.5 grs this gives about 35 p.c. of clay sand, vegetable matter &c.—
Randall's scales apparently weigh heavier than O.S. Scales by 6.3 grs.
The residue has a pleasant odour like liquorice
