Mr Bedford says he is certain Bull-dogs full power of scent [as frequently dead birds recovered]
but if weak instinct of following foot-tracks or our track home — is cause of this. — Hence Ld Orford delusion. — says he has heard & believes that a late Dr of Norfolk trained B.— do. in 3 generations to act an excellent returner —
Is certain that massive strength of jaws in comparison with other dogs — from type of bones what they can crush & from astonishing time they will hang suspended & can be thus carried, & their heavy bodies. —
