Dr. Murie tells me functions of Eustachian tube not known certainly — He does not believe that deaf man open mouth to let sound come in direct, but that the tube with air in mouth serves as resounding apparatus —I must doubt — with attend to the E. tube in monkeys — Whales have Eustachian tube.
