July 12th (67) Mr Whiteheads baby 5 1/2 weeks old ─ Crying consists of long harsh cry, & often interrupted as if by a cough. ─ When doing this corrugator supercilii strongly contracted, so that eyes almost firmly closed. ─ Mouth widely open with the 2 angles drawn a little backward as if by buccinator; but the two corners are not apparently drawn downwards [sketch]

─ (This makes Willy's case vy difficult to understand, about base-shoe shaped)

There were traces of tears in eyes, but eyes a little inflamed.

Perhaps say all muscle round mouth contracted & depressor anguli oris least under contract.
