Linn. Trans XI. p. 103 Kirby says in Stylopida he cd not detect any mouths or lips, though in Stylops Melittæ there is something like upper lip. Professor Peck in his fresh specimens could see nothing but a depression under the head. – He & the Prof. consider they are armed with what represent the mandibulæ, but not formed for mastication.
