In Catalogue of Birds I see I have remark (I know not whether introduced in Journal.) about web-feet of Frigate birds, which like inland – longlegged geese can be of no use to it – like mammæ wings under seldom case. &c &c

These, perhaps, are organs, not abortive yet not of use or rather not of necessity - So tail of woodpecker on plains.
