Waterhouse 1 Aug /42/ Omaseus anthracinus a wingless (but larger than in Steropus) carab. but O. nigrita, a very near, but X distinct species always has wings - W. remarked how strange that he has one single specimen, only one ever heard of, of a small common bug with wings - Has once taken a Hemipt. wh runs on water with wings Has never seen House Bug with wings. Says rudimentary palpi &c very common. Has Coleopt. from Corfu. with rudiment elytra & wings not folded. flew away like fly. Extreme case of Ripihorus paradoxicus.
