Hookers Misc 3/112 Mr Wilson says after careful exam. in Wales he concludes that Saxifraga hurta platipetala, leptophylla, hypnoides are vars of same species, & with so many intermediate states that they can hardly be defined.

p 114 in some wild specimens the anthers are minutely pointed, in other cases their lobes are spreading below, in a few instances the filaments are scarcely if at all dilated at the base. Stigmas vary only in size and direction. Equally in the same individual as in difft vars. In some of the Snowdon specimens the ribs of the leaves especially of the foot stalk very strong & prominent. Some of the vars appear to vary in the points of the reflexes calyx segments being reflexed.
