Hookers Misc. 3/326 Hooker in describing S. Amer. plants says Males herbia linearifolia is so variable that he has scarcely seen 2 specimens alike. Variation seems chiefly to be in the shape of leaves; their glandular condition & the colour of the flowers. Seed from one of the vars. produced plants like parent in England.
