Aug Sept/1841/ — Of the three Chimpanzee, two of very different sizes, yet with exactly the same face, & ears — their resemblance Hunt says two that were formerly in garden — A third has a very different look & is said to come from a part of coast a thousand miles off — See to this —

Sept. 15. The one has rounder, & flatter ears — a paler coloured face, less hair over brows. — brows smoother & less rugged— though fully as much arched = which look like that of the races of Negroes =

Aug:/42/ This odd one came from Sierra Leone or some place where all have come from —Eden — but perhaps from high up the country. =
