Columba littoralis of Java. Gould says belongs to other section from Rock fowl pigeon, & has foot for trees.— if it does go to rocks it must be by compulsion, like cockatoos of the Murray harbour in Rocks.

so from occasionally our domestic fowl having cartilaginous tips to feathers as in G. Sonneratii—thinks G. giganteus & Bankiva vars.— Bankiva & Sonneratii parents of our common fowl. — Mr Crawford tells me that Java more often get cross between domestic fowls (I have no doubt whatever this is G. furcatus, "ayamala") & G. Javanicus splendid bird with green metallic plumage,
