July. 58 Took specimens of F. Rufa near Sandown, with remarkable differences in size of workers— very many smallest workers in nest.—

I saw July 24' a migration & only the largest & medium sized were carrying pupæ; indeed I doubt if the last cd, have carried them; so, there is little difference in function Habits, almost compulsory.—
