It might have been expected that on peculiar soil in coral islet or volcanic isld, that certain Families wd be best adapted; besides certain families best adapted to transportal. The first part bears on aboriginal creation. All this makes the number of genera & families on isolated spot more remarkable & shows how much more related organisms are to each other than to physical conditions. The Covering of N. an islet, or summit of mountain. No doubt some tribes are rather better adapted, as Heteromera on several isld. or Epilobium on mountain summit. Nevertheless generally true statement that many representatives of every class.
