Several cases in Scotland in 1825 — near Lock Leven, fish apparently carried from sea across Fife &c &c Many case of Fr. W. Fish.— But more cases in India at Madras struck the soldiers on hat— at Meerut in numbers — cyprinus at Moradabad alive. Large dead some fresh, some mutilated fish in the Dacca zillah — they were seen first in sky like flock of Birds X — Mr Prinsep fd fish at Benares in his Pluvionette which had ben alive when it fell.— at Futtenpore 3 miles from the Jumna fr 3lb to 3 1/2 weight, common F. W. fish of neighbourhood, but all dead & dry. At Allahabad chowla fish all dead & dry - in Sunderlands many small all alive, in a long narrow band.— Near Bombay ground often covered with Fish after beginning of monsoon, but now from the air.—— The foregoing notice taken from Mr Fairholmes Paper in "Asiatic Journal 1836" & Dr Purdey Thomsons Meteorology of 1849.
