Aug 22 /56/ Saw by Pond, made during few last year Juncus acutifolius & leaves, I think, of Glyceria. I see in all little dug way side Ponds, here on chalk when no stream or spring, some aquatic plants.— Whatever means of dispersion, I only apply same to isld.— perhaps difficulty exaggerated thousand fold— The way creationists go leads to spontaneous generation, indeed hardly differs from it.—
