In Johnson's Physical Atlas Rennels current (28 miles in 24 hours) goes from Astorias right to West Coast of Ireland.

Main equatorial current 60 miles per day.

Drift currents about 10 per day.

Cape Stream 80 [do]

Gulf Stream 35 [do]

From looking at these streams no one cd tell that W. Indian Plants wd arrive at Ireland & Scandinavia. Seeds cd arrive at Madeira & Azores by Rennels current & then sweeping to South.
