Salmonia p. 120. Many cases given of Salmon & trout being recognizable in different rivers. — —(Mr Shaws' experiment also show same fish return to same rivers) — Davy says that after great floods & storms fish sometimes mistake their river; thus, after one storm & flood, he caught a salmon belonging to the Bann in the Bush near Giant's Causeway; no mistaking salmon in these two rivers as they differ much on proportion of length to girth. —
