Linley's Hort. p 185. Kidney beans 100 years old & raspberry seeds taken from a barrow which was supposed to be 16 or 1700 years old were raised by Linley. Millar says Plantago psyllium sprung from the soil of an ancient empty ditch near Chelsea though none known there in the memory of man.
